About The Position

We specialize in research and development, manufacturing operations, plant shut downs and building maintenance. Our skilled trades include Tool and Die Makers, Instrumentation Techs, Multi-Craftsman , Machinists, Pipe-fitters, Carpenters, Electricians, Work Coordinators, EH&S, Welders, Preventative Maintenance Technicians , Planners, Glass Blowers and others. Formal training in Instrumentation/Electrical with the ability to operate, test, repair, maintain and calibrate electro-mechanical equipment. strong knowledge in calibrating instruments of flow pressure and level transmitters thermocouples heaters temperature controllers troubleshooting 480v and below repair 48ov and below workable knowledge of test meters install conduit install wiring based on code requirements Analytical equipment troubleshooting/design and build.

Requirements

  • Formal training in Instrumentation/Electrical.
  • Ability to operate, test, repair, maintain and calibrate electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Strong knowledge in calibrating instruments of flow pressure and level transmitters, thermocouples, heaters, and temperature controllers.
  • Troubleshooting 480v and below.
  • Repair 480v and below.
  • Workable knowledge of test meters.
  • Install conduit.
  • Install wiring based on code requirements.
  • Analytical equipment troubleshooting/design and build.
  • Two-year degree in a scientific field of study.
  • Demonstrated use and understanding of physical standards of mass, temperature flow and pressure.
  • Working knowledge of computers.
  • Ability to read and work from blueprints, schematic diagrams and specification manuals.
  • Physically able to perform basic maintenance.
  • Able to work with various researchers in different locations.
  • Database experience with record keeping and documentation accuracy.
  • Current Driver's License in good standing.

Nice To Haves

  • Five years of experience in instrumentation, including experience in installing, calibrating, maintaining and repairing equipment.
  • 3-5 years of troubleshooting experience working with 24V to 480v.
  • Team player committed to working in a quality environment.
  • Electrical experience with Contacts, Mods, ABB Drives and relays.
  • Panel building experience.
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, test, repair, maintain and calibrate electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Calibrate instruments of flow pressure and level transmitters, thermocouples, heaters, and temperature controllers.
  • Troubleshoot and repair 480v and below.
  • Install conduit and wiring based on code requirements.
  • Troubleshoot analytical equipment.
  • Design and build analytical equipment.
  • Perform basic maintenance.
  • Work with various researchers in different locations.
  • Maintain records and documentation accuracy.
