About The Position

The Lab Tech will be responsible for cleaning and organizing the lab environment, reporting any lab room problems, keeping a daily log of duties as required, and performing glass washing tasks. This role requires maintaining glassware by cleaning, washing, sterilizing, and distributing it. The technician will also be responsible for ordering, receiving, and providing inventory for glassware, and keeping laboratory supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt. Equipment operation and maintenance are key, including following operating instructions, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance. The role involves maintaining daily logs and equipment record books, completing projects by assisting the project team, and participating in group and project meetings. Compliance with safety and environmental rules, policies, and procedures is critical, including stopping at-risk behavior and ensuring all safety guidelines are strictly followed at all times. The technician must maintain a clean and orderly environment, take direction, respond to supervision, and communicate professionally with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers. Proper use and maintenance of hand and power tools, and other equipment, as well as the use of proper personal protective equipment, are also required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma / GED - preferred
  • Experience in aseptic or GMP/regulated manufacturing or equivalent combination of training and experience - preferred
  • Required to have a valid driver’s license, if driving own vehicle on business time or company vehicle.
  • May be required to have forklift certification.
  • Valid laboratory technician license.
  • Completed all safety, environmental and task training certifications.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and database systems
  • Operation/use of general hand and power tools, instruments, and testing apparatus common to the electronic and instrumentation fields.
  • Ability to read P&ID's, electrical drawings, blueprints, PLC ladder logic, etc.
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain glassware by cleaning, washing, sterilizing, and distributing
