About The Position

The Food Safety and Quality Assurance Technician supports the overall Food Safety Plan through monitoring, record/product review and inspections. This role involves conducting various verification inspections, monitoring temperatures, performing routine testing of product and packaging, and reviewing production records and labels. The technician will also be responsible for data entry and maintaining company confidentiality. All employees are expected to adhere to safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices, and the Safe Quality Food Program.

Requirements

  • High School Degree
  • Ability to complete tasks based on standard procedures.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work cross-functionally.
  • Basic Computer skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in Food Science or related field
  • SAP experience.
  • HACCP Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct verification inspections for post sanitation and pre-operation cleans.
  • Conduct pre-operational and environmental monitoring swabs.
  • Conduct plating of environmental monitoring swabs.
  • Monitor room, cooler and incubator temperatures.
  • Conduct routine testing and monitoring of product and packaging attributes to established specifications.
  • Conduct daily review of labels and retain product.
  • Conduct real time review of production records.
  • Conduct daily line inspections.
  • Conduct routine data entry and filing of paper work.
  • Perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.
  • Produce products in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program.
