About The Position

As a QA Lab Technician, you will perform laboratory tests. These tests determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition of in-process batches, raw materials, and finished products. The purposes of these tests include quality control, process control, or product development. This is a 2nd Shift position working the hours of 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM (10 hrs shift Monday-Thursday) with the ability to work some overtime. You will work an onsite role in a 2nd Shift and report to the Quality Assurance Supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years' of experience in a laboratory setting.
• Able to lift up to 20lbs.
• Ability to clearly identify and communicate issues that we need to address and to take the necessary steps to avoid future errors that we will make.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum High School Chemistry knowledge preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that accurate safety procedures and housekeeping are maintained and conduct work in a manner that protects yourself, co-workers, and the environment.
• Set up, adjusts, calibrates, and operates laboratory equipment and instruments such, viscometers, chemical balances spectrophotometer, and other equipment.
• Test samples of manufactured products to verify conformity to specifications.
• Record test results on batch tickets and in our computer operating system.
• Manage quality records and retains of production batches.
• Evaluate retains of production batches in response to quality complaints.
• Conduct in-coming raw materials testing, ensuring conformance to required specifications.
• Perform routine production quality checks to ensure finished products are packaged according to specifications.
