Lab Technician
About The Position
This is an entry-level Lab Technician position in the Complaint Investigations Lab, ideal for newly graduated candidates or individuals with a strong technical background. The role involves unpacking and sorting returned products, investigating customer complaints regarding blood glucose meters, strips, and sensors, and documenting these investigations in the Complaint Handling System. The technician will also utilize troubleshooting equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, test fixtures, and microscopes to complete investigations. Additionally, the role includes performing routine maintenance on quality records and ensuring testing equipment is valid.
Requirements
- Proficient computer skills to navigate Internet programs.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
- Ability to follow written work instructions of SOP’s.
- Good documentation skills.
- Good computer skills for data entry of investigation results.
- Ability to focus while performing repetitive and routine investigations.
- Minimum education required is H.S. Diploma or equivalent (such as GED) with technical experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Medical Device / Biotech Industry with a Technical Background is preferred.
- Knowledge of Electronic Troubleshooting is preferred.
- Ability to work in a team setting is a plus.
- Great fit for workers with Inspection and Quality experience.
- Recent college graduates with a Bachelor’s degree are an ideal fit for this entry level position.
Responsibilities
- Unpacking boxes safely and sorting returned products accordingly by product lines.
- Investigating returned products to resolve customer complaints regarding their blood glucose meters, strips & sensors.
- Documenting complaint investigations in the Complaint Handling System.
- Using troubleshooting equipment like multi-meters, oscilloscopes, test fixtures, microscopes, etc. to complete the investigation.
- Performing routine maintenance on individual quality records.
- Ensuring equipment used for testing is within validity.
