About The Position

The Lab Technician conducts routine and non-routine testing of shelf-stable products and ingredients to check compliance with specifications and current procedures. The role also performs finished-product and GMP line audits, communicates out-of-specification results to the operations supervisor on duty, records test results accurately, and maintains an organized work area. The position works Monday through Friday from 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM; some weekends may be required based on demand.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Lab or food science experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and non-routine testing of shelf-stable acidified, high-acid, and retorted products for compliance with specifications and current procedures.
• Conduct finished-product audits according to current procedures.
• Ensure broken-jar pallets are fixed in a timely manner.
• Read and sign lab procedures annually.
• Conduct line audits for GMP compliance.
• Communicate out-of-specification products to the operations supervisor on duty.
• Record accurate test results on the correct forms.
• Clean and organize the work area.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
