LAB TECHNICIAN - Day Shift
About The Position
Conduct routine and non-routine testing of Shelf Stable Products and ingredients as required. This role involves conducting routine and non-routine testing of shelf stable Acidified, High Acid, and Retorted product for compliance to specifications according to current procedure. The technician will also conduct finished product audits, ensure broken jar pallets are fixed in a timely manner, and read and sign lab procedures annually. Additionally, the role includes conducting line audits for GMP compliance, communicating out-of-specification products to operations supervisors, recording accurate test results, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Other tasks may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED Certificate required
- Ability to read and understand English
- Ability to communicate effectively.
Nice To Haves
- Lab or food science experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and non-routine testing of shelf stable Acidified, High Acid, and Retorted product for compliance to specifications according to current procedure.
- Conduct finished product audits in accordance to current procedure.
- Insuring Broken Jar pallets are fixed in a timely manner.
- Reading and signing lab procedures on Annual Basis.
- Conduct line audit for GMP compliance.
- Communication of out-of-specification products to operations supervisor on duty.
- Recording accurate results for tests completed on correct forms.
- Cleanup and organization of work area.
- Other tasks as assigned.
