About The Position

SharkNinja is seeking a detailed-oriented, passionate, and dynamic individual to join their post-launch quality team as a Lab Technician. This role is crucial for product and data analysis to identify reasons for product returns. The technician will leverage learnings to provide feedback through administrative, analytic, and physical interaction with consumer products. This involves understanding instructions, using lab equipment, performing physical tasks like standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, holding, and lifting for various periods, data entry using spreadsheets, and communicating with management. The position is fully ONSITE at their Needham, MA HQ location.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in a Technical Area or Vocational/Trade school certificate
  • Ability to perform analysis to determine root cause of issues and offer creative solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work autonomously or as a team in an environment with constantly changing priorities
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient and detail oriented
  • Ability to use general purpose tools for repair, maintenance, or new construction

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in mechanical engineering, quality, product development, human factors engineering, or a related field, preferably at a consumer goods company
  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as multimeters, digital scales, pressure gauges, etc.
  • General background in principles of Electrical and Mechanical function and application
  • Knowledge of SharePoint

Responsibilities

  • Inspect returned products according to quality and safety standards
  • Troubleshoot and fix sustaining production test issues escalated from Repair Technicians and report to Quality Engineers
  • Perform basic teardowns of returned consumer products and document workflow
  • Report quality anomalies to cross-functional teams for review
  • View the entire consumer experience at a macro level to identify experience detractors and track product performance, communicating key learnings and developments to appropriate work flows for action
  • Manage product health reporting and push for continuous five-star experience via iterative design improvements
  • Strive for process efficiency and deliver impactful results
  • Present status of activities and special projects to management regularly
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including warehouse/workstation/facility/common area maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep
