About The Position

Astro Pak is the nation's leading precision cleaning and passivation contractor specializing in on-site cleaning of high purity gas and fluid systems, as well as precision cleaning of components and hardware at the company’s Cleanroom facilities. Astro Pak is seeking a Laboratory Technician I to support our laboratory operations by preparing chemicals, collecting samples, maintaining cleanroom standards, and assisting with cleanliness verification testing. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with laboratory or cleanroom experience who takes pride in following precise procedures and delivering high-quality work.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience working in a cleanroom and/or laboratory environment with wet chemistry preferred.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to following documented procedures.
Ability to read and interpret work instructions, procedures, and technical documentation.
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
Basic math skills, including ratios, percentages, and measurements.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to meet U.S. Export Control requirements.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to wear a respirator when required.

Responsibilities

Collect samples for laboratory analysis.
Prepare and safely handle laboratory solvents and chemicals.
Support Chemists and Laboratory Technicians with cleanliness verification processes.
Maintain lot traceability and serialization of customer parts.
Monitor and maintain laboratory consumable inventory.
Perform particle count and Non-Volatile Residue (NVR) testing throughout cleanroom environments.
Conduct monthly facility and cleanroom inspections.
Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization in accordance with Class 5 cleanroom standards.
Assist production teams with cleaning and packaging activities as needed.
Support other departments and technicians as business needs require.
Follow all safety, quality, compliance, and training requirements.
Perform additional duties as assigned by laboratory leadership.
Ensure work complies with applicable U.S. Export Control regulations.
