About The Position

CMT Lab Technician Intern – Part time. Learn and perform soil and concrete laboratory testing. Learn from and assist the Laboratory Team and work closely with the CMT Field Technicians. Legacy Engineering is an equal opportunity employer and a drug-free workplace.

Requirements

• Must be a currently enrolled student in construction management.
• Physical ability of lifting, carrying, and loading of up to 75 pounds daily, required.

Responsibilities

• Perform concrete and laboratory testing
• Ensure all lab work (soils, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, etc.) is completed within test specific completion goals.
• Meet specific requests of engineers and other managers to meet clients’ needs
• Maintain general lab cleanliness/care
• Maintain a trust/positive relationship with the techs that you can help them be successful in providing appropriately timely results
• Build understanding of why and when certain tests are performed
• Assistance in how to track their equipment calibrations, and how to perform basic checks
