About The Position

The Environmental Monitoring (EM) Core Technician conducts environmental monitoring tasks in support of production and aseptic processing of clinical-grade products. The role also maintains, stocks, and sets up the clean room environment. This is a six-month temporary, onsite assignment in Houston, Texas, with a night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience.
• Basic lab experience with a bachelor's degree, or intermediate lab experience within a cGMP clinical production environment with a high school diploma.
• Use aseptic technique for cell culture and product purification when required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences preferred.
• Lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Environmental Monitoring process as part of GMP production of viral therapies.
• Perform cell culture and product purification using aseptic technique when required.
• Coordinate Environmental Monitoring equipment needs with the QC EM team for manufacturing processes.
• Draft, complete, and revise manufacturing documents, including Batch Records and EM forms.
• Prepare buffers and components, including operating a steam autoclave.
• Operate manual, semi-automated, and automated equipment in support of routine clinical production.
• Operate Environmental Monitoring equipment such as Solairs, ApexZ50, and active counters.
• Maintain, stock, and set up the clean room environment.
