About The Position

Pace is hiring a full-time, onsite Lab Technician 1 for the sample preparation department of its environmental testing laboratory in Pennsauken, New Jersey. The role supports laboratory sample-related activities, including preservation, preparation, processing, and maintenance, and includes maintaining documentation and databases. Training is provided on fundamental laboratory support policies, programs, and practices. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills and build a career in laboratory sciences and environmental testing. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Compensation is $18.00 per hour. The final compensation offer may depend on factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills, internal equity, market conditions, budget, and organizational guidelines.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work in a laboratory or office setting and remain standing for long periods while conducting tests.
Ability to work around strong smells and wear personal protective equipment while handling samples.
Ability to use standard office and laboratory equipment.
Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
Ability to read printed materials and computer screens and to communicate in person or by telephone.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred but not required.
