About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Laboratory Technician to support our clinical team at our free-standing emergency room hospital. This role involves assisting with basic laboratory tasks, specimen collection, and supporting laboratory operations to ensure efficient patient care in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience or training in laboratory procedures is a plus, but no degree is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in a healthcare or laboratory setting is required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced emergency environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience or training in laboratory procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect and prepare specimens such as blood, urine, and other bodily fluids following established protocols.
• Assist with basic laboratory testing under supervision, including preparing samples and operating simple lab equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory area and equipment.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
• Record and document laboratory activities accurately.
• Support inventory management of supplies and reagents.
• Communicate effectively with clinical staff to provide timely assistance.
• Follow instructions and protocols provided by licensed laboratory personnel.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
