About The Position

SURTECO NA is a leading, full-service provider of decorative surfaces. With many years of experience, technical know-how and design expertise, SURTECO provides more than a product; they provide a comprehensive solution. SURTECO offers complete vertical integration for their customers: design development, cylinder engraving, decor printing, finish foils created with a state-of-the-art lacquer process and an extensive variety of edgebanding. This role is for a full-time Quality Control Lab Technician II for their manufacturing plant in Myrtle Beach, SC. The Quality Control Lab Technician II candidate will prepare, test, and compare finished and experimental samples. The Lab Technician will also provide and maintain accurate data and records for raw material evaluations, new product projects and product improvement projects.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and ERP System (SAP) software

Nice To Haves

Previous color matching experience a plus
Minimum 2 years Quality Control or Laboratory work experience preferred
Minimum Associate's degree in a Science related field preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze lab blends for color match requests.
Perform all required testing on incoming finished goods material and maintaining retain samples.
Document, analyze and interpret test results.
Serve as back-up for preparing pigments for upcoming batches.
Perform basic laboratory maintenance including, but not limited to, stocking lab supplies, maintaining test equipment and maintaining a clean work area.
Other duties as assigned by Quality Manager.
Follow basic lab safety guidelines and regulations.
