Lab Support Technician
About The Position
Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Support Services Supervisor, the Lab Support Technician provides quality, customer-oriented laboratory services. The role includes specimen procurement, specimen processing, related specialized procedures, and communicating information effectively to users of Laboratory Services to support efficient department operations and fulfillment of its mission. Lab Support Technicians also provide training and guidance to less experienced laboratory support technicians. This is a full-time position in Lab Support Services, scheduled for evenings from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with night coverage as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- One year of phlebotomy, EKG, and/or specimen processing experience is preferred.
- Phlebotomy Certification (ASCP) is preferred.
