About The Position

We are looking for a Lab Sequencing Specialist to join our Agricultural Solutions team based in Research Triangle Park, NC. As a Lab Sequencing Specialist, you will support the STA lab with projects that generate genotypic data to identify the molecular basis of native traits for their application in cotton and soybean improvement. Conducting next generation sequencing analysis in wet lab by utilizing specialized laboratory automation platforms.
Conducting fluorescent PCR-based analysis in wet lab by utilizing specialized laboratory automation platforms including RT-PCR, Tape array, microfluidic platforms, liquid handlers, and sequencing instruments.
Processing and reviewing data using sophisticated software tools, identifying issues and proactively communicating them with the team and/or quality in order to successfully deliver data to customers within a defined timeframe.
Preparing detailed summary data and analysis reports and ensure accurate digital archiving of all project data.

Requirements

• Have a bachelor’s degree in biological or agricultural science, or a related field.
• Possess at least 4 years of experience in a high-throughput or diagnostic laboratory.
• Are knowledgeable of RT-PCR.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

• Have next generation sequencing experience (preferred).
• Have experience with LIMS systems (preferred).
