About The Position

Eurofins is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Lab Operations Specialist to support laboratory testing programs and client projects. The role connects clients, laboratory staff, quality teams, and operational support groups to help ensure studies are executed efficiently, accurately, and on schedule. It combines scientific knowledge with operations, coordination, and client-facing responsibilities. The specialist reviews and coordinates project requirements, maintains operational records, manages study initiation and project communications, tracks deliverables and risks, supports change management and billing processes, and maintains audit-ready documentation. The position also provides cross-functional coverage and contributes to continuous improvement. It is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime as needed. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
At least 2 years of professional experience in a laboratory, scientific, quality, operations, project coordination, or client services environment.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a GMP, GLP, FDA-regulated, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, environmental, food testing, or contract laboratory environment.
Exposure to laboratory information management systems (LIMS), quality systems, or enterprise software platforms.
Experience coordinating projects, studies, laboratory workflows, or client deliverables.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Experience with quality systems such as eLIMS, Empower, EtQ, TrackWise, or similar platforms.
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and support operational decision-making.

Responsibilities

Review client requests, quotations, purchase orders, protocols, methods, specifications, and related documentation to establish and clarify study requirements.
Create and maintain accurate project records in LIMS, client management systems, and other operational databases.
Coordinate study initiation and confirm that samples, methods, reference materials, specifications, and required resources are available before project launch.
Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients and communicate project status, timelines, and deliverables.
Lead client meetings and document decisions, action items, and project updates.
Collaborate with Laboratory Operations, Quality Assurance, Sample Management, Stability Services, Finance, Business Development, and other support groups.
Monitor timelines, milestones, deliverables, and open action items; identify and communicate potential risks proactively.
Review project scope and identify changes in client requirements, supporting change management and commercial review processes as needed.
Assist with invoice review, billing milestone tracking, and resolution of routine discrepancies.
Resolve operational issues using established procedures and escalate concerns when additional support is needed.
Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready project documentation.
Provide cross-functional support and backup coverage for team members when required.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance laboratory efficiency, communication, and client satisfaction.
