The Lab Operations and Support Consultant provides support and technical assistance to faculty and students on a variety of highly specialized audio technologies, software, equipment, and classroom systems. They are responsible for maintaining the correct and consistent operation of lab facilities, including inspecting equipment, assisting with course technology and classroom setup, providing technical support to students, managing facility access and inventory, and documenting issues. The role involves creating and updating technical documentation, performing hardware and software testing, installing new technology, and participating in technology upgrade projects to ensure smooth operations for classes, labs, rehearsals, performances, and special events. The consultant supports a wide range of music technologies such as DAWs, professional audio hardware, synthesizers, MIDI controllers, audio interfaces, and network audio technologies. They also collaborate in overseeing Student Employees and support numerous technology classrooms and labs that operate extensively daily.
