Lab Demonstrator BIOL 3P34 Fall D2-1
About The Position
This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for a Lab Demonstrator for the BIOL 3P34 course in the Fall D2-1 term. The position is within the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. Compensation is based on qualifications, with an undergraduate rate of $22.07 per hour and a graduate rate of $34.73 per hour (effective September 1, 2024). Additional duties will be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. The nominal workload for this position is 10 hours per week, comprising 6 hours of demonstrating and 4 hours of marking and lab preparation. Duties and responsibilities are in accordance with Article 22 of the Collective Agreement. The role involves assisting students under the direction of the Senior Lab Instructor, including introducing the lab, demonstrating techniques, assisting students during the lab, maintaining safety, preparing and cleaning up the lab, marking reports, and attending meetings.
Requirements
- MSc or currently enrolled in a graduate program in Biological Sciences.
- Completed BIOL 3P34 or an equivalent course.

Responsibilities
- Be familiar with laboratory procedures.
- Present an introduction to the lab.
