About The Position
This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for a CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) Lab Demonstrator position for BIOL 3P92 in the Winter D3-2 term. Compensation for this role is based on qualifications, with an undergraduate rate of $22.07 per hour and a graduate rate of $34.73 per hour (effective September 1, 2024). The nominal workload for this position is 10 hours per week, comprising 6 hours of demonstrating and 4 hours of marking and lab preparation. Duties and responsibilities are in accordance with Article 22 of the Collective Agreement. Requirements
- An MSc or currently enrolled in a graduate program in Biological Sciences.
- Completed BIOL 3P92 or an equivalent course.
Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the Senior Lab Instructor, be familiar with laboratory procedures.
- Present an introduction to the lab.
- Demonstrate laboratory techniques.
- Teach and assist students during the lab.
- Maintain safe lab conditions.
- Be responsible for lab preparation and cleanup.
- Mark lab reports.
- Attend meetings as needed.
