About The Position

Baylor University's Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is seeking a Lab Coordinator to support the daily operations of a research laboratory. This role involves coordinating operations, managing supplies and equipment, and training new volunteers. The position also includes assisting with animal care as needed and developing technical expertise in behavioral, surgical, histological, and analytical research methods. The Lab Coordinator will contribute to accurate data collection and analysis to ensure efficient and reliable research outcomes.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree and one year of relevant work experience are required.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

  • A Bachelor’s degree and three years relevant work experience are preferred.
  • Additional education or experience may be considered in lieu of one another.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily laboratory procedures, including ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, provide training to incoming volunteers and assisting in animal care when required
  • Record and assist in data entry and analysis using specific computer software programs
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
  • Ability to comply with university policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
