  • 2+ years of professional work experience in a related engineering field.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong experience with Linux/Unix command-line environments; ability to write shell scripts and manage services.
  • Proven experience using Python (or equivalent) for hardware automation and test script development.
  • Experience working with laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters) and embedded hardware debugging.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues across the full stack—from hardware connectivity to OS-level drivers and software automation.

  • Experience with communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, CAN, UART, Ethernet).
  • Experience setting up and maintaining laboratory networks.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot physical test racks, bench equipment, and prototype hardware units to ensure high uptime for testing.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Bash, or similar) to interface with test hardware, trigger test sequences, and capture data for automated reporting.
  • Manage and configure Linux-based test controllers and embedded devices, including OS provisioning, kernel updates, and package management.
  • Work with DevOps/Software teams to bridge the gap between physical lab hardware and our CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) to enable automated hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
