About The Position
Performs activities and other tasks as necessary in a laboratory environment. Responsible for testing waived laboratory tests and setting up microbiology specimens for culture. Other duties include assisting with phlebotomy as needed, centrifuging specimens, performing serology, and loading specimens onto analyzers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Scientist program.
Responsibilities
- Perform waived laboratory tests.
- Set up microbiology specimens for culture.
- Assist with phlebotomy as needed.
- Centrifuge specimens.
- Perform serology.
- Load specimens onto analyzers.
