About The Position

The Lab Assistant performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA, other applicable regulatory requirements, and established standards. The role performs venipunctures at applicable entities and obtains and prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. The Lab Assistant also assists technical staff with non-clinical tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• No experience required.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience as a phlebotomist.
• Experience performing EKGs.
• Experience working in a healthcare or clinical laboratory setting.
• Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA, or an equivalent agency.

Responsibilities
