About The Position

The Lab Assistant performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA, and other applicable regulations and established standards. The role may include performing venipunctures at applicable entities and obtaining and preparing blood specimens according to Piedmont policies and procedures. The Lab Assistant also assists technical staff with non-clinical tasks. The position is at Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, Georgia. The listed shift is 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday through Monday, with every fourth weekend. A sign-on bonus is available. Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
No experience required.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience as a phlebotomist.
Experience performing EKGs.
Experience working in a healthcare or clinical laboratory setting.
Phlebotomy technician certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA, or an equivalent agency.

Responsibilities
