Lab Assistant, Days
About The Position
The Lab Assistant performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA, other applicable regulatory requirements, and established standards. The position performs venipunctures at applicable entities and obtains and prepares blood specimens according to Piedmont policies and procedures. The Lab Assistant also assists technical staff with non-clinical tasks. The position is at Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, Georgia. The listed schedule is 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday through Monday, with every fourth weekend. A sign-on bonus is available.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- No experience is required.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience as a phlebotomist.
- Experience performing EKGs.
- Experience working in a healthcare or clinical laboratory setting.
- Phlebotomy technician certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA, or an equivalent agency.
Responsibilities
