About The Position
The Lab Assistant plays a vital role in patient care by performing phlebotomy services for both inpatients and outpatients in a timely, professional, and compassionate manner. This position is also responsible for supporting laboratory operations through various essential functions. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program or equivalent training and experience
Nice To Haves
- One year of prior experience preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform phlebotomy procedures with accuracy, efficiency, and minimal patient discomfort
- Collect and properly label blood specimens as ordered by physicians
- Ensure specimens are handled and transported according to laboratory standards
- Support lab staff with day-to-day laboratory tasks as needed
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all safety and compliance standards
