About The Position

MercyOne is hiring a Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist to support a variety of laboratory departments. The role assists technical staff with the collection, processing, analysis, and reporting of laboratory tests used for patient diagnosis and treatment. It ensures specimens, patient information, and testing workflows are handled accurately and efficiently, contributing to timely turnaround, data integrity, and compliance with quality and safety standards. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Complete Iowa Department of Health and Human Services Mandatory Reporter training specific to the population served within three months of hire.
If applicable to the department assignment, possess a valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle operated and be eligible to drive under Iowa state law.
If applicable to the department assignment, be at least 18 years of age.
If applicable to the department assignment, meet MercyOne’s Quality and Authorized Drivers requirements.

Nice To Haves
