About The Position

Andromeda is seeking talented, self-starting L2 Support Technicians to join our service department. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting client issues, ensuring clients are back up and running efficiently and effectively with top-tier customer service. We are looking for a versatile IT professional with a passion for teamwork and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in an MSP or corporate environment.
  • Experience with PCs, laptops, servers, and routers.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and Office 365.
  • Must be local to the Chicago metro area.
  • Ability to work hybrid schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays onsite in Lockport, IL, with remaining days remote.
  • Available to start within the next 90 days.
  • Must pass drug testing and background screening.
  • Be prepared for hands-on testing components.

  • Hungry for challenging, big-league technical problems beyond basic troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot client issues as they come in.
  • Get the client back up and running efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide top-tier customer service.
  • Manage "hot client" situations when things go sideways.
  • Read through ticket history and quickly identify next steps.
  • Perform advanced support for Microsoft Server OS (2008 - 2019) and Microsoft Workstation OS (XP - Windows 10).
  • Provide advanced support for Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and Adobe software.
  • Perform hardware, software, and Layer 1-3 troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrate a track record of getting things done without excuses.
  • Utilize experience with Microsoft Azure and Office 365.
