About The Position

Andromeda is seeking talented self-starters to join their service department as an L2 Support Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting client issues as they arise, aiming to restore client operations efficiently and effectively while providing top-tier customer service. The ideal candidate is a versatile IT professional with a passion for teamwork and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in an MSP or corporate environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Server OS (2008 - 2019).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Workstation OS (XP - Windows 10).
  • Advanced support for Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Adobe software.
  • Strong hardware, software, and Layer 1–3 troubleshooting.
  • A track record of getting stuff done — rain or shine — no excuses.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and Office 365.
  • Must be local to the Chicago metro area.
  • Available to start sometime between now and the next 90 days.
  • Must be able to pass drug testing and background screening.
  • Be ready to show, not just tell, during a hands-on testing component.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot client issues as they come in.
  • Get the client back up and running efficiently, effectively, and with top-tier customer service.
  • Manage the “hot client” when things go sideways.
  • Read through ticket history and quickly identify next steps.
