About The Position

The SquareTrade Cloud L2 Technician provides advanced email- and phone-based break/fix and cloud remediation support for SquareTrade cloud support clients, including Microsoft cloud solutions sold through partner Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) programs. The role owns escalations from Cloud L1 and manages vendor support cases, including Microsoft cases through Partner Center, on customers’ behalf. It is a client-facing position focused on resolving complex and high-impact issues while keeping SquareTrade’s support team as the customer’s single point of contact through resolution. The technician also mentors and guides Cloud L1 technicians in their professional and technical development. The role works across the Microsoft Modern Workplace stack, including Exchange Online and mail flow, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune and Autopilot, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, and Microsoft 365 Copilot. Other emerging virtualization and cloud-based technologies may also be brought into scope, including Dynamics 365 Business Central and Windows 365. Familiarity with hybrid Exchange and hybrid identity environments is a plus. The technician provides live assistance to Cloud L1, takes ownership of escalated and Severity A cases, opens and drives Microsoft support cases through Partner Center, documents work in Salesforce, and works to meet customer satisfaction and quality goals. The role also contributes to support procedures, runbooks, knowledge articles, training, and best-practice documentation; stays current on Microsoft technologies; and pursues relevant Microsoft certifications. As needed, the technician may support new-product readiness and coordinate with Microsoft, partner account teams, and third-party vendors. The role offers hybrid work arrangements. The estimated U.S. base compensation range is $23–$31 per hour.
