About The Position

This position requires constant monitoring of the batter system and the ability to operate and troubleshoot the batter and condiment equipment. Understads how to look up QA Specifications for batter and condiment. Understands product codes and labels on batter and condiment tickets and how to use manifest to track inventory. Safely opens, handles and hangs batter bags. Monitors and adjust sugar mix tank concentration as required. Monitors and adds condiment to the formed line hopper when needed. Maintains dry batter hopper and auger levels as needed. Assembles/Disassemble batter equipment when needed. Communicates problems to appropriate personnel. Maintains expected level of sanitation in work area. Fills out paperwork as required. Understands chemicals and the hazards associated with the processing area. Performs assigned duties during cut changes and defrost as required. Cleans under and around batter and sugar mix areas. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing. Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral.
  • Must be able to be qualified within time frames established by facility.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions, required.
  • Basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
  • Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for job actions and procedures.
  • Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
  • Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties.
  • Ability to operate work related equipment
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders on a regular basis.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Lock-out/Tag-out, Forklift, and Sanitation certification are required. If you are not qualified, you will be trained and must meet certification requirements.
