About The Position

This position requires constant monitoring of the batter system and the ability to operate and troubleshoot the batter and condiment equipment. The role involves understanding product codes and labels, tracking inventory using manifests, safely handling batter bags, monitoring and adjusting sugar mix tank concentration, adding condiment to the formed line hopper, maintaining dry batter hopper and auger levels, assembling/disassembling batter equipment, communicating problems, maintaining sanitation, filling out paperwork, understanding chemical hazards, performing duties during cut changes and defrost, and cleaning work areas. The position also includes performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Lock-out/Tag-out, Forklift, and Sanitation certification are required (training provided if not qualified).
  • Ability to be qualified within time frames established by facility.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions.
  • Basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
  • Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements.
  • Ability to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
  • Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places.
  • Ability to operate work related equipment.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to sample food while evaluating Lamb Weston products.
  • Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

  • Constant monitoring of the batter system.
  • Operating and troubleshooting batter and condiment equipment.
  • Looking up QA Specifications for batter and condiment.
  • Understanding product codes and labels on batter and condiment tickets and using manifests to track inventory.
  • Safely opening, handling, and hanging batter bags.
  • Monitoring and adjusting sugar mix tank concentration as required.
  • Monitoring and adding condiment to the formed line hopper when needed.
  • Maintaining dry batter hopper and auger levels as needed.
  • Assembling/Disassembling batter equipment when needed.
  • Communicating problems to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintaining expected level of sanitation in work area.
  • Filling out paperwork as required.
  • Understanding chemicals and the hazards associated with the processing area.
  • Performing assigned duties during cut changes and defrost as required.
  • Cleaning under and around batter and sugar mix areas.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
