About The Position

We are seeking a Technical Trainer specializing in Telecom and Data Center environments. This role is part of a corporate university team, focusing on delivering high-volume technical instruction to adults. The position is 100% onsite, requiring a seasoned professional who can serve as a role model and work closely with trainers, managers, stakeholders, and clients to ensure effective deployment of next-generation infrastructure technologies. This contract position has the possibility of extension.

Requirements

  • 6-9 years of industry experience in installing structured cabling, preferably fiber.
  • Telecommunication Industry Certifications, preferably BICSI.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with all organizational levels.
  • Advanced organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to strategize for better solutions.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate employee training and onboarding using approved materials.
  • Deliver technical instruction through lectures, hands-on activities, labs, and assessments.
  • Provide remediation and support to ensure students achieve learning outcomes.
  • Consult with other trainers, managers, and leadership to assess training needs.
  • Track and compile data for accurate training reports.
  • Document employee performance and training outcomes.
  • Review, test, and provide feedback on training materials.
  • Prepare and maintain training facilities, ensuring cleanliness and setup.
  • Stay updated on the latest data center tools and infrastructure best practices.
  • Coordinate and monitor enrollment, schedules, and equipment.
  • Develop and coordinate training schedules.
  • Assess training needs through surveys and interviews.
  • Support the development of new training materials.
  • Communicate training needs and available online resources.
  • Coach and develop Associate Trainers.
  • Travel as needed.
