About The Position

The Kroc Teen Leadership Development/Loft Coordinator will lead and directly implement leadership skill development programs for teens in the general population of the Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center (RJKCCC). The coordinator will organize entrepreneurship programs and work with local businesspeople to provide mentors for participating teens. The role also creates opportunities for community service and mission-related experiences, offers spiritual guidance and emotional and intellectual support, and collaborates across the Kroc team to develop participants’ leadership skills. The coordinator will build strong relationships with community and ministry partners.

Requirements

• At least two years of college in a related field.
• At least two years serving as a mentor.
• At least one year of progressive experience working with youth.
• Support the mission and work of The Salvation Army and understand and appreciate its mission.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment and multitask.
• Strong relational skills and character; ability to work as part of a team and with ethnic and socio-economic populations.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information discreetly.
• Mature Christian character and a passion for mission and youth.
• Professional attitude and approach to problem solving.
• Computer proficiency and excellent communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends.
• As a mandated reporter, provide proof of completing child-abuse recognition and reporting training meeting PA Act 153 of 2014 standards within 30 days of employment, with recurrent training every five years thereafter.
• Meet PA Act 153 child protection clearance requirements, including PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check.
• Valid driver’s license.
