About The Position

Welocalize is seeking freelance translators with immediate availability to translate patents from Korean into English. The role requires strong experience in translating and proofreading patents, particularly in the fields of Electricity, Computer Science, Mechanics, and Medical Devices. The translator will be responsible for conveying the original meaning accurately and ensuring readability for the target audience, adhering to client instructions regarding translation processes and CAT tool usage. Effective communication and prompt responses in English are essential.

Requirements

• Minimum two years' experience translating and reviewing content in the patent fields.
• Native fluency in English (target language).
• Degree in linguistics, translation, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to translate, copy edit, and perform Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE).

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the fields of Electricity, Computer Science, Mechanics, and Medical Devices.
• Experience with the XTM CAT tool.
