Korbel Certificate Directors
About The Position
The Josef Korbel School seeks certificate directors for the Emerging Technology and National Security (ETNS), Strategic Intelligence (SI), and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) graduate certificates. The ETNS Director will serve a three-year term from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029, contingent on the continuation of the program. The SI and CSR Directors will each serve one-year terms from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. The Certificate Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously assessing the certificate curriculum, as well as for student advising and engagement within the program.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the academic advisor for certificate students, including: Providing guidance on students’ academic and professional goals Demonstrating familiarity with, and supporting students through, all aspects of the certificate’s administrative processes Maintaining appropriate availability to offer certificate-specific advising beyond standard course office hours Collaborating, as needed, with Korbel Student Affairs, the Office of Career and Professional Development, and the Enrollment Office to support student success and outcomes
- Coordinate with the Associate Dean for Academic Programs regarding: Course scheduling Faculty teaching assignments Ongoing program evaluation and assessment
