About The Position

The Intermediate Knowledge System Specialist will work independently and as part of a development team identifying solutions to provided requirements and work closely with customers to ensure the proper solution for the provided requirements. This role involves implementing, managing, and supporting Knowledge System Tools, leveraging Power Business Intelligence capabilities in SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365, and building dashboard reports. The specialist will provide knowledge about various platforms from End User and Power User perspectives, document roles and responsibilities, and provide training. They will also develop, design, and manage content, customizations, forms, and custom workflows, convert legacy workflows and reports to new platforms, and utilize new data sources and BI solutions. Collaboration with users and stakeholders is key to defining business requirements, goals, risks, and technical scope for SharePoint Online solutions. The role includes developing SharePoint apps and collaboration tools, administering SharePoint Site Collections, creating and managing reusable content, designing scalable site structures, and maintaining/optimizing the SharePoint environment. Additionally, the specialist will provide Tier 1 support, promote user adoption through training, and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related area
  • Active Security + Certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (SharePoint)
  • Must have high-level written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have experience with PowerApps
  • Must have an active SECRET security clearance
  • Rudimentary application skill with Python, R, SQL, .Net, C#, C++
  • Experience with JAVA, JS, HTML, and CSS as required

Responsibilities

  • Implement, manage, and support Knowledge System Tools.
  • Leverage Power Business Intelligence capabilities in SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 and other selected platforms and build dashboard reports.
  • Provide knowledge about the various platforms, from the End User – Power User perspectives.
  • Document roles and responsibilities and provide training to End Users and Power Users.
  • Develop, design and manage content, customizations, forms and custom workflow in selected platforms.
  • Convert legacy workflows and reports to new platforms.
  • Utilize new data sources and new BI solutions.
  • Collaborate with users and stakeholders to define business requirements, goals, risks, and technical scope for SharePoint Online solutions.
  • Develop SharePoint apps and collaboration tools, including lists, libraries, surveys, calendars, web parts, workflows, PowerApps, and InfoPath, while integrating with Microsoft products and enterprise solutions.
  • Administer SharePoint Site Collections, including permissions and access management.
  • Create and manage reusable content types, site columns, lookups, and templates.
  • Design scalable site structures for directorates, divisions, and branches.
  • Maintain consistent navigation, manage search scopes, and develop project and document dashboards.
  • Maintain and optimize the SharePoint environment by reviewing content, managing landing pages, monitoring usage and workflows, addressing dormant sites, researching new capabilities, and coordinating site migrations with the Knowledge Management Officer.
  • Provide Tier 1 support and promote user adoption.
  • Train users on SharePoint functionality, provide training resources, and collaborate with trainers to ensure knowledge systems training aligns with organizational needs.
