About The Position

As a CACI Knowledge Manager working in the Command Knowledge Management Office (CKMO) at US Southern Command, you will provide specialized support to Command Exercises optimizing decision-making by creating, capturing, and disseminating information through tools like SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, PiX and other collaborative portals. You will enhance staff efficiency, manage information flow, and facilitate "lessons learned" during complex, high-stakes military training scenarios, ensuring shared understanding across command structures. You will: Design and maintain collaborative sites (e.g., SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Protected Internet eXchange (PiX)) to ensure the right information reaches the right person at the right time. Lead Working Groups, conducting "lessons learned" sessions, and analyze data to identify operational gaps. Provide training on KM tools and best practices to staff members for effective information exchange. Ensure effective flow of critical information within the battle rhythm and between higher/subordinate commands. Manage documentation according to records management policies by organizing, storing, and disposing of high-level exercise documentation. This position is 100% onsite and located in Doral, Florida. OCONUS and CONUS travel to support exercises and planning conferences is required at 20%.

Requirements

  • The minimum education and experience for this position is a Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, an Associate degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, a major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, or more than 11 years of recent specialized experience.
  • Current TS/SCI-level Clearance.
  • High competence in the use of Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint for managing KM systems.
  • Experience supporting Operational Planning Teams (OPTs) and other cross-functional projects within the DoD or IC.
  • Experience/participation in Department of War (DOW) exercises or DOW exercise planning.

Responsibilities

  • Incorporate knowledge management and records management guidelines and best practices to design, develop, maintain or improve exercise sites and portals optimizing information flow on the Protected Internet eXchange (PiX) platform as well as the NIPR and SIPR SharePoint environment.
  • Implement version control, auditing, and lifecycle policies to ensure content accuracy, compliance, and retention.
  • Organize and lead Knowledge Management Working Group (KMWG) sessions for the various USSOUTHCOM exercises, fostering collaboration among USSOUTHCOM Enterprise KM representatives, enhancing stakeholder engagement and accessibility, providing technical insights, rules of engagement, and actionable recommendations during discussions.
  • Draft Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), Standard Operating Procedures, informational sheets on PiX and other portals to address common queries and improve user understanding of tools and processes.
  • Participate in Operational Planning Team meetings and continually collaborate with exercise planners and stakeholders contributing to operational planning and communication strategies to support exercise objectives and ensure effective planning and execution.
