About The Position

SAIC is currently seeking a Command Post Exercise (CPX) Planner located at Camp Smith in Honolulu, Hawaii to support USPACOM orchestrating the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) planning and efficient execution of designated Command-Post Exercises (CPX) directed by USPACOM, Theater Exercises Branch. This role involves supporting organizations within USPACOM in the planning and execution of Tier 1 Multi-Combatant Command Command-Post Exercises such as FREEDOM SHIELD. The planner will develop exercise control training briefs, exercise planning milestones with associated deliverables, and exercise planning work group organizational requirements for all planning events (EDM, CDC, IPC, MPC, FPC) during the JELC. Additionally, the role requires performing Senior Control functions for the Exercise Control Group (ECG) during CPX execution, ensuring coordination with staff and other organizations to support the ECG with proper personnel during planning and execution leveraging the Joint Manning Document (JMD) process. The planner will lead exercise work group planning meetings with all stakeholders and In-Progress Reviews (IPRs) with senior leaders. They will also develop, implement, and maintain efficient protocols, processes, and procedures in support of exercise planning and execution, including authoring exercise directives (PLANORD/EXORD) and Exercise Control Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Maintaining appropriate OPSEC conditions at multiple levels of classification while working with military, civilian, contractor, and foreign allied personnel is crucial. The role also involves maintaining associated exercise information data sites and responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) related to designated exercises. The planner will leverage appropriate tools in support of the JELC such as Task Management System (TMS), Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS), Joint Training Tool (JTT) and other related databases or systems.
