About The Position

The Knowledge & Development Instructor I delivers engaging training that enhances employee knowledge, supports operational excellence, and promotes outstanding member service across the credit union. This role designs and facilitates learning experiences, supports new hire onboarding, maintains compliance aligned content, and partners with operational leaders to identify skill gaps and implement effective training solutions. Requirements

  • Level I - One year to three years of similar or related experience in training or employee development.
  • Experience working in a financial institution preferred.
  • A high school education or GED.
  • Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature.
  • Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level.
  • Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate instructor-led and virtual training sessions for employees at all levels.
  • Lead structured new-hire onboarding and support their transition to operational roles.
  • Develop and update training materials including presentations, guides, and e-learning modules.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using assessments, surveys, and performance data.
  • Maintain training records and track learner progress.
  • Partner with managers to identify training needs and skill development opportunities.
  • Support implementation of new products, systems, and processes through timely training.
  • Provide coaching and follow-up reinforcement to employees as needed.
  • Stay current on credit union operations, regulatory updates, and industry best practices.
