About The Position

The Knit Sewer works as part of a team to produce various styles of knit caps in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. The role is responsible for maintaining acceptable quality throughout production and in the finished product while helping meet daily production goals. Work includes reviewing order paperwork, preparing materials and sewing equipment, sewing garment parts together, and checking measurements, sizes, and sew lines for accuracy. The position also involves physical activity such as lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, reaching, and stretching. Responsibilities

• Review daily order paperwork for quantities, colors, due dates, and any specific notes.
• Place spools of thread, cord, or other materials on spindles; insert bobbins; and thread material through machine guides and components.
• Position items under needles using machine marks, clamps, templates, or cloth as guides.
• Guide garments or garment parts under machine needles and presser feet to sew parts together.
• Maintain knit quality and ensure measurements, sizes, and sew lines are accurate.
• Work at a fast pace to meet daily production goals.
• Perform other duties as requested.
