About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and back-of-house areas. Key duties include garbage removal, dishwashing, floor sanitation, and equipment cleaning. The position also involves assisting with food transportation, receiving, and replenishing supplies for service staff. Adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and appropriate uniform standards is required.

Requirements

  • Ability to handle chemicals as per company video.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Understand and comply with all Company and departmental rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain general kitchen and back-of-house cleanliness.
  • Remove all garbage and boxes.
  • Perform dishwashing and pot washing.
  • Ensure floor sanitation.
  • Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment and return it to its proper place.
  • Follow directions from the lead kitchen utility/executive kitchen steward.
  • Transport food between the ship and shore.
  • Assist receiving personnel in putting away food products.
  • Assist buffet attendants and servers in replenishing clean dishes and silverware.
  • Wear the appropriate uniform, including a white shirt and pants, apron, GVC ball cap or hair net, slip-resistant shoes, and gaming badge.
  • Adhere to all Indiana Labor Laws if a minor.
