About The Position

The Kitchen Utility Worker supports meal service and kitchen operations by serving residents, clearing and washing dishes, and maintaining clean dishwashing, food-serving, and dining areas. The role also assists with preparing serving carts, delivering meals and trays, food preparation, and other kitchen duties as assigned. The position is part of the Food Services team and follows Holiday procedures.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• General knowledge of cleaning and sanitation.
• General knowledge of safe food-handling practices.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Ability and willingness to follow standards and procedures, accept direction and training, and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Help serve meals and clear and wash dishes from residents’ tables, following Holiday procedures.
• Prepare, wash, and store dishes according to Holiday procedures.
• Clean the dishwashing area, food-serving areas and equipment, dining room tables and chairs, and vacuum and clean the dining room.
• Complete the dishwasher temperature log at required times.
• Assist with setting up serving carts for each meal, including preparing water carafes and distributing them to tables.
• Serve hot cereal at breakfast and bread at dinner, help serve meals at residents’ tables, and deliver trays to residents’ rooms when necessary.
• Assist with food preparation as assigned and work with the Food Services team to support smooth, efficient, and safe kitchen operations.
• Assist with putting away deliveries and setting dining tables for the next meal as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
