About The Position

Rusty Lantern Markets is hiring a part-time Kitchen Team Member to prepare meals and help maintain high standards of food safety and quality. The role supports the company’s goal of providing fresh, convenient meal options to customers. The schedule is 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with days of the week to be discussed during an in-person interview. Team members may pick up extra shifts if they wish.

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation or cooking in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and be self-motivated.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in meal preparation.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
Ability to squat, bend, and turn as needed, lift 25 pounds, and stand for long periods.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with menu planning; this is a plus but not required.
Experience in the food service industry is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of food items according to established recipes and standards.
Follow food safety and hygiene practices during food preparation and handling.
Assist with menu planning and development of new meal offerings.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
Collaborate with team members to support efficient kitchen operations.
Monitor food supply inventory and assist with ordering as needed.
Provide customer service when interacting with customers at the counter.
Contribute positively to the team environment and support Rusty Lantern Markets’ overall goals.
