About The Position

Marcus Theatres is hiring a Kitchen Supervisor for its Marcus Oakdale Cinema location. The role supports a fun, fast-paced theatre environment by helping provide guests with an excellent dining experience. The Kitchen Supervisor oversees cleanliness and order, prepares food for banquet and restaurant service, and trains, supervises, and supports hot and cold food production while maintaining high standards of quality and care.

Requirements

At least two years of supervisory and/or management experience in a similar-sized operation.
Two to three years as a lead cook before entering management.
Thorough working knowledge of food preparation.
Above-average working knowledge of accepted safety and sanitation standards.
Extensive experience with slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors, and similar equipment.
Basic mathematical skills for understanding recipes, measurements, requisition amounts, and portion sizes.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily line operations.
Prepare food for banquet and restaurant service according to standard recipes.
Inspect and sample food for taste, color, and presentation.
Schedule an appropriate number of staff based on daily needs, banquet functions, theatre show times, and weekly forecasts.
Supervise assigned staff, including training, counseling, and discipline.
Order, receive, and store food appropriately in refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage to maintain freshness.
Perform daily duties and special projects.
Order food for the following days.
Rotate food products to minimize spoilage and waste.
Ensure work-area equipment is cleaned and sanitized properly.
Handle special orders, modifications, and ticketed food orders as required.
Maintain banquet event orders and food delivery requests according to daily guidelines.
Meet attendance standards established by company policy.
