About The Position

A Kitchen Supervisor takes part in servicing our food and beverages to our guests around our beautiful Hotel. This task is to be handled in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in an extremely high level of guest satisfaction. A Kitchen Supervisor assigns, coordinate, and supervise the set-up and food production areas within the kitchen to maximize productivity and ensure food quality, set-up and service are in accordance with standardized recipes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Ability to communicate well with guests.
  • Willingness to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
  • Ability to apply basic supervisory skills to plan, organize, direct, coach, train and discipline employees, as necessary.
  • Ability to operate all types of kitchen equipment.
  • Finger/hand dexterity in order to operate food machinery.
  • Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move goods weighing a maximum of 100 lbs. on a continuous schedule.
  • Remain professional at all times, and treat all guests and associates with courtesy and respect, under all circumstances.
  • Meet and strive to exceed hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality and attendance.
  • Adaptable to change in your work area and in hotel procedures with a willingness to learn new skills and/or improve existing ones.
  • Ability to solve routine problems that occur on the job and ask for help whenever you are not sure how to do something.

Responsibilities

  • Assign, coordinate, and supervise the set-up and food production areas within the kitchen to maximize productivity and ensure food quality, set-up and service are in accordance with standardized recipes and procedures.
  • Service food and beverages to guests in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner.
  • Apply basic supervisory skills to plan, organize, direct, coach, train and discipline employees, as necessary.
  • Operate all types of kitchen equipment.
  • Adhere to hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
