About The Position

Emmy Squared Hell’s Kitchen is looking for an experienced, energetic Kitchen Supervisor to join our team! As a Kitchen Supervisor, you will work closely with the General Manager to perform daily supervisory duties. This role is essential in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, maintaining safety and sanitation standards, and supporting a positive and efficient BOH team environment.

Requirements

  • Previous culinary management experience in a full-service restaurant; a passion for food is a must and pizza knowledge is a plus!
  • ServSafe certified food manager preferred.
  • Proven culinary skills with the ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment while effectively delegating responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of food cost and the ability to align inventory with business demands.
  • Proficiency with computers and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 40 lbs. and push/pull up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, with frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching overhead.
  • Must be able to safely utilize culinary tools (knives, commercial equipment, etc.) and have the ability to taste and smell during food preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of kitchen employees daily; ensuring policies, procedures, and operational flow are consistently followed.
  • In partnership with the Kitchen Manager/Chef, ensure the efficient and effective running of the kitchen with a focus on minimizing operating costs.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of kitchen employees.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly used, maintained, and functioning safely.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
  • Prepare menu items and serve as an expeditor when needed to support service flow.
  • Ensure all dishes meet restaurant standards prior to leaving the kitchen.
  • Assist with labor management, including adjusting schedules to meet business needs and financial targets.
  • Enforce and maintain compliance with Department of Health regulations, ensuring superior cleanliness and sanitation throughout all kitchen areas.
  • Provide training and support to Front of House employees, including menu knowledge and guidance on meeting dietary needs.
