About The Position

Under the direction of the Chef de Cuisine, Maurizio’s is seeking a Dishwasher/Kitchen Steward to support our kitchen team by maintaining cleanliness and organization to ensure a smooth workflow in the kitchen, while adhering to safety and hygiene standards.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail
• The ability to take direction and remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
• Organizational skills and an ability to multi-task
• Able to spend 100% of the time standing
• The ability to handle heavy lifting up 50 lbs
• A reliable form of transportation, as public transportation may not be available late at night.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working in a dishwasher role or similar environment an asset

Responsibilities

• Operating dishwashers efficiently
• Ensuring that kitchen equipment, utensils, plates, and work areas are cleaned and sanitized to meet health and safety standards
• Cleaning and sanitizing dishwasher mats, dish carts and dish racks
• Responsible for receiving, stocking and organizing food and supply orders
• Safely handling and storing cleaning products
• General dish area maintenance which includes sweeping, mopping, organization and removal of garbage and compost
• Such other related duties and responsibilities as may be required from time to time.
