About The Position

Arc Broward is seeking a passionate and skilled Kitchen Steward/Prep Cook to join their team. This role is primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment and supplies within the Arc Culinary department. The position requires an individual who can maintain a steady pace of work to ensure supplies and equipment are cleaned and properly stored, meeting business demands. Understanding the proper use of chemicals is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

Must successfully complete required screening: Level II background check, physical and drug screen.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to work in a team.
Effective communication skills with verbal and written English fluency is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a steward or in a commercial kitchen preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen and food preparation areas, including ovens, grills, stoves, hoods, fryers, floors, etc.
Stock all supplies as directed by Executive Chef, Sous Chef and cook positions.
Maintain a pace of work, which allows supplies and equipment to be cleaned and put in their proper place, which meets business demands.
Understand the proper use of chemicals.
