About The Position

The Kitchen Porter receives products and inspects food to ensure safe temperatures and product integrity. The role keeps storage areas clean and organized, stores food according to safety methods, and assists with café operations and timely, professional setup. The porter supports catering deliveries and event setup, the Chef and culinary team, dish room operators, and other departments as needed. Employees must follow HSEQ policies and procedures, participate in HSEQ training, and report potential hazards or compliance concerns.

Responsibilities

Arrive on time each day.
Properly receive and store foods, chemicals, equipment, and dry goods.
Weigh and inspect all received products.
Ensure equipment is in good working order.
Record temperatures and maintain and clean the loading dock area.
Clean and sanitize the work area.
Gather invoices and provide them to the Chef or GM.
Remove garbage.
Work with catering to deliver food and assist with event setup, including working within time restraints.
Support the Chef and culinary team and dish room operators as needed.
Take direction from the Chef, Front of the House Manager, and Catering Manager.
Build rapport with delivery vendors and assist other departments as needed.
Follow HSEQ policies and procedures, participate in training, and report potential hazards or compliance concerns.
Come to work dressed according to the dress code.
